17th September 06...

Oh dear... its been a long time since I've updated this!
Well, for the last year or so I've been really busy running my studio bunker7 www.bunker7.co.uk. Been very stressed but had a lot of fun producing ska, punk, hardcore, metal and indie bands from all over.... Unfortuntately the company who owned the building I was in decided to practically double the rent and I had to move. At the moment I'm recording at Inch(which is a very nice studio. Diana Ross recorded some stuff there you know) and doing mixing and mastering at home. Hopefully plans that are in motion for a new studio in Manchester will come to fruition in about 6 months time, and it will be very special indeed.

In the meantime check out these guys...

c
Sonic Boom Six... Their album 'The Ruff Guide to Genre Terrorism', which was produced by me, is out now in shops. Go and buy it! It's very good and has some lovely mashy-uppy-glitchy bits which were crafted with my very own hands... www.sonicboomsix.co.uk

Also check out a bootleg I did sometime ago with one of their older songs... ' The Mighty Mighty Boom' -> DOWNLOAD MP3-< . Sonic Boom Six vs The Mighty Mighty Bosstones

Ok. Most of you know about the car accident. It was mental to say the least but fortunately it looks like I should make a full recovery. CD requesters please be patient. I'm nowhere near 100% yet and trying to stay on top of things. If you haven't got a CD in a months time then email me again with your details and make the subject 'Free CD' so I can find it easily.

In the meantime two new tracks are yet to be shown on MTV mash so keep watching.

Thanks to everyone who has given me their support since the accident. And thanks to the staff at Cheltenham hospital, aswell as the Cheltenham fire brigade who cut me out of my car and got me to the hospital in no time. If it wasn't for your amazing skills and speedy response I probably wouldn't be alive.

11th March 04...

The MTV mash website finally gets updated and I get a little mention for 'Aloud in Mollys Chambers' ...

Patience to CD requesters.. I'll be sending them out next week. Unfortunately I'm going to have to remove the free CD to all offer from the site, and just reserve it to Radio people/DJs etc.. I can't keep up with the no. of emails I'm getting asking for CDs! sorry!

MTV Mash party in London at the weekend was much fun. Good to meet a lot of other bootleggers and MTV folk in the flesh.

"Aloud in Mollys Chamber" seems to have dissapeared from the German MTV chart. : ( ... thanks to people who voted for me anyway.

Next week I should have one of the new boots I've been working on finished... it involves 'Come Out and Play' by the Offspring... that's all I'll say for now. Make sure you're signed up to the mailout list to get it.

Kings of Leon vs Girls Aloud ('Aloud in Mollys Chambers') was just played on MTV MASH!!
Had no idea it was going to be played tonight! they didn't tell me..

20th November 03...

Sorry for the lack of updates.. I've been very busy recently... (Apologies to people who've recently requested CD's and not got them.. have patience and they'll get there soon!)
... but my hard work has paid off as I can happily confirm I've been commissioned by MTV MASH to produce two tracks. They contacted me a while ago and the tracks are in their final stages. Can't tell you what they are but hopefully you'll be able to see them on the show soon!

The boots that got away...
A new feature for the site.. comin' soon!
Gonna let site visitors hear 1 min previews of several tracks MTV turned down and vote for the one they'd like to hear finished the most.. I'll get the final thing up on the net and maybe available to download from a place called culturedeluxe........ maybe ; )

24 October 03...

Ok so I haven't added any new tracks.. I have got a new one finished...but...
a certain large television company contacted me this week, concerning my bootlegs (!!!!!!!!! :D) so I'm keeping it off the net until they get back to me... Nothing comfirmed yet but I've got my fingers seriously crossed!

19 October 03...

HEEHEE! JAMMONE MOFO! Greenday vs Michael Jackson 'Jacko's a Basket Case' was played on XFM tonight! Very pleased....

Not too many updates this last week due to full time job + harijan gig on friday (which was well worth the hard work). Should have more free time this week so look out for updates.. atleast one new boot should be finished some time during the week + up with the other lo-fi streams. Bought a nice comfy chair today.. means I can sit at my computer for longer without getting a sore ass.

8th October 03...

Couple of my new tracks up as lo-fi streams.

Planning to have a arsenal of classic stuff done before december boomselection night! I have 3 new'uns on the go at the moment which I promise will be very special.. I just hope someone else doesn't discover what the Darkness 'I believe in a thing called love' was meant to be mixed with before I finish it!

7th October 03...

Remixes can now be heard through low-quality (48kbps) streams on the bootleg page.

6th October 03...

My new guest mix will be broadcast on Boot106FM next week i'm told... I'll put the link and time up here, nearer the time.

'Ballad of J Lo' and 'Into The Bad' could be getting aired on Dutch Radio 2 quite soon! could be interesting...

21st September 03...

BPI issue
After some serious discussions over the web with people, I've decided not to contact the BPI about the copyright infringement issue. Although I still believe the situation is wrong and have been approached in the wrong way (I'm not pirating audio), and that the 'fair use' clause in copyright law should cover (or atleast enable a comprise to be made) 'leggers and their mp3s. Perhaps I have broken the law, but not in way stated in the mail I got.. Anway, I've been advised (if that's the right word) by many people not to take the matter further (for my own sake and for the sake of the 'scene') and I'm not going to.
... Although I'm sure the issue will arise again in the near future, I'm not going to be the person who gets stuck in the quicksand ...

please keep visiting the site... cd's via email request.

XFM
'Don't stop the jungle boogie' was on XFM today!! and my drunkeness at the Manchester boomselection night was mentioned! woo!

20th September 03...

Unfortunately, pressure from the BPI has forced me to take my mixes offline. I hope this will only be a temporary situation.. see the bootleg page

19th September 03...

Good news..

woohoo! After the events of Tuesday's Boomselection night which involved the Freelance Hellraiser playing a couple of my tracks, I'm personally assured by James Hyman that some of my stuff (don't know what) will be played on the XFM remix show this Sunday!

London and NTL cable tv people tune in between 7 and 10pm (sorry I can't be more accurate than that)

Bad news..
The BPI (British Phonographic Industry) aren't too happy with my mixes (thought they'd atleast like J Lo vs Tenatious D!?). Apparently I'm infringing copyright law and have to take down my mix mp3's or be taken down!
(read the email i got here)

So get them while you can if you haven't already. They'll be down tommorrow evening.... until I find a way round this, looks like the mix section will be pretty vacant.

Please keep visiting the site.. I'll still be updating it. Should have some dj nights lined up in manchester soon and will be getting my mixes out via free CD's.
